Baton Rouge Metro Councilman Ryan Heck acknowledged his email address was on a list leaked as part of a hack of the website Ashley Madison. (Diana Samuels, NOLA.com|The Times-Picayune)
Baton Rouge Metro Councilman Ryan Heck, who is running for a state representative seat, acknowledged Thursday on Facebook that his name appears on a list of Ashley Madison clients, but said he had signed up for the site as a "joke."
Heck declined to comment when contacted by NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.
In a Facebook post being shared on social media, Heck, a Republican, denied he had used the site beyond providing his email address. Ashley Madison only requires an email to view parts of the site, but requires a credit card purchase to connect with people.
"Dumb thing: went to Ashley Madison as a joke 5 years ago," Heck wrote. "Smart thing: Never went back."
Heck ended his post with the hashtags #sleepingoncouchtonight and #smokinghotwife.

his credit card? If it was just an email address he provided, why didn't he provide the name Joe Blow and set up a yahoo account to accommodate that kind of thing? Why use your OWN regular email, if you're just "joking" around? Naaah, you use your own name, your own email, your own address, when you need your details to match the billing on a credit card.
Is that messy little sore on his lip a souvenir of his joking around, I wonder?
