Married GOP Politician Who Admitted to Sexting Male Teen: Im Not Gay

Last month we reported on Mike Yenni, a Republican politician representing Louisiana’s largest parish, who is being investigated by the FBI for allegedly having sexted a 17-year-old male.

Yenni is married with a three-year-old daughter. He reportedly met the teen at a function at the teen’s Catholic high school when he was mayor of Kenner, Louisiana in 2015. Yenni, 40, is a Louisiana Catholic high school alum though it’s unclear if he attended the same school as the boy with whom he began sexting.

Seventeen is the age of consent in Louisiana. According to the teen, Yenni was introduced to him by a mutual friend who was 19 at the time.

Yenni recorded a video pleading with the people of Jefferson Parish for his job.

that Republicans would learn not to send anything to anyone that might turn out to be embarrassing. The texts may have been done for amusement, but it certainly puts himself and his family in an awkward situation.

Furthermore Mike, take pride--it's 2016 and you can come out of the closet now.
