This despicable jerk cannot be gone soon enough for me.

AUGUSTA (WGME) -- Maine Governor Paul LePage has made a few incendiary comments since taking the helm. Now, LePage is getting national attention for a comment he made Thursday involving State Senator Troy Jackson and Vaseline.

Democratic leaders are calling the comments crass, offensive, and disrespectful – not only to Senator Troy Jackson, to whom the comment was directed – but also to the people of Maine.

LePage, when referring to Senator Jackson, said “(he) claims to be for the people, but he’s the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline.”

Eliza Townsend, the Executive Director of the Maine Women’s Lobby, said “It is more than just being crass. To make a public statement about rape as a metaphor for political disagreement is disrespectful to victims of sexual assault.”

It's hard to believe that the state that produced Senators Margaret Chase Smith and George Mitchell also produced this clown. His election was a fluke, and I doubt his luck will hold when he faces re-election. Maybe his foot-in-mouth disease is a good thing because it clearly demonstrates that he lacks the self-control needed to be an effective leader.

It was a man made fluke! It won't happen again ; to many now know who his backers are!
I doubt he has a clue he's just a puppet dancing on their string. Florida is his best bet and enjoy his retirement
