the gop has many woes

A series of new polls are starting to paint a bleak picture for Republican's future and their ability to relate to a broad spectrum of the American people. The very public battle between the extreme and moderate wings for the soul of the party seems to be falling to the former and could lead to Democrats picking up seats in the House and beyond.
A new poll by ABC shows Independents relate more generally with Democrats on a wide swath of issues while Republicans continue to lose ground with Millennials and minorities.

It may be more surprising that Republicans are also losing ground on governing and economic issues. The polls indicates that Ted Cruz not only failed to speak for the American people as he has suggested, but that Americans still blame the Republican Party for the shutdown.
