LePage court challenge keeps Democrats and Republicans united

The leadership of the Maine Legislature is remaining united in opposition to an unconstitutional power grab by Gov. Paul LePage.

The governor has pushed the limits of executive power to the breaking point. And now the conservative president of the Senate and the liberal speaker of the House are standing together to argue against him before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.

“House and Senate leaders will speak with one voice before the court. This is not a partisan issue. It is a matter of the Constitution, history and precedent,” said House Speaker Mark Eves, D-North Berwick in a press release. “We urge the court to take quick and decisive action to ensure these laws are enforced.”

Whether through malice or incompetence – or perhaps a combination of both – the governor has created this crisis. He alone is responsible, and a growing number of former allies understand that and are putting the good of the state ahead of loyalty to political party.

I'm wondering, are there any other governors out there inadvertently uniting their states' legislative branches against them?

It seems the right is so out of touch with the worker that they never could garner enough votes to get elected. But we must remember the media is either owned by the right or has enough money to buy the media space and control it. The average worker is basically an independent who may be registered to either party but votes his beliefs. Well we have a think tank on the right who knows so well how to bamboozle the average voter. I mean after all you see the press on the marines killed and how they hammered pres. O BAMA. But do you think that group would ever print about the 246 marines killed in the barracks when Reagan was asleep at the switch? hell no their experts at deception. think about the tabor plot.
we need to get the truth out early and often to reach the voter

now really where does it say in the MAINE CONSTITUTION THAT THE RABID RIGHT LIKES TO CLAIM IS THE BIBLE ONLY WHEN IT SUITS THEM SAY THE GOVERNOR IS ABOVE THE LAW??
LETS SEE IF THEIR IS ONE F---N REPUBLICAN IN THIS STATE THAT BELIEVES IN THE LAW!
