S.O.S. Save Our State Rally and Call to Action!
Maine Citizens are clamoring for a way to stand up to the bullying, threats of violence, and racism coming from the Governors office in the past days, weeks, months and years.
This Tuesday, ordinary citizens will gather in Capitol Park in Augusta to Save Our State (SOS), followed by creating a circle around the Blaine House.
S.O.S.
S Stand up against bullying, threats of violence and racism
O Offer support to addicts for treatment programs that work
S - Step Aside, Governor LePage, get the help you need, and Save Our State.
As someone who has spent many years as a bullying prevention trainer I know that the most hurtful part of being bullied is not the event, but when bystanders and others do nothing.
Maine people will NOT stand by and do nothing in the face of this behavior from the Chief Executive. We will gather to say this is unacceptable.
We ask all Maine citizens to join us in Capitol Park at 6:30 p.m. We will gather, listen, and then walk across the street and form hands around the Blaine House.
For those unable to attend we are issuing a Call to Action to Save Our State:
Here are three things you can do to help:
1. Please call Maine Senate President Mike Thibodeau. Tell him that LePage is unfit to serve as governor and that urgent action is needed. His office number is (207) 287-1500 and email is senatorthibodeau@aol.com.
2. Call Maine House Republican Leader Ken Fredette. Tell him the same thing. His office number is: (207) 287-1440 and email is Kenneth.Fredette@legislature.maine.gov.
3. Sign up here to volunteer to help our Democratic legislative campaigns across the state. We need strong majorities in the House and Senate to stifle his power and keep him from doing any more damage to Maine:
