from Chris VanHollen:

'After wrapping their plan in enormous secrecy so that independent groups and the public could not examine it and assess the details, House Republicans have finally put forward their ideas for repealing the Affordable Care Act. As expected, the news is not good. Their plan will force millions to pay more for less care. It will provide massive new tax breaks to the wealthy while saddling working Americans with soaring new costs. And it will end Medicaid expansion in less than three years; cutting out millions of people across the country.

This is an important fight. Republicans want to ram this bill through before Americans can react to it and before numbers are even available on how much it will cost taxpayers. My Democratic colleagues and I will be doing everything we can to stop them and to protect health care in our country.'

He's a smooth talker. He's got schmoozeability. (Is that a word?) Ryan can talk you out of your bunions.

If you're buying a car and someone like Ryan is your sales guy, and he puts on that kind of a show, most people would look askance and then ask him where you could find a bathroom. You know the guy WILL sell you a lemon and sleep like a baby. He's suspiciously deceptive, and when I hear him, I'm saddened at how his behavior reflects on the local character of Janesville, Wisconsin. There needs to be a highway bypass around that town. Something's very wrong there.
