Winds forecast to increase, to 27 mph; now allegedly 'only' 23 mph.
Not planning to go out for a 'while!'

(136,071 posts)elevated little peninsula, so I'm FINE, Grasswire; thanks for asking!
Won't have to drive anywhere tomorrow; shopped today. Power is out, so lack of communication will be the only 'burden,' tho slight; guess I'll live without music (radio), and don't use TV until the evening news.

(13,708 posts)The lawn is about twenty feet above water in normal circumstances but the house did flood in 1996 (before my time here). The river is very tidal even though about eighty miles up from the ocean. I know how it is to keep an eye on the water at certain times. A tropical storm is a whole new level, though.
