Md. Gov. Hogan Encourages People To Get COVID Booster Shot, Despite Confusion

- WJLA News, Sept. 30, 2021.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is again urging vaccination against COVID for all Marylanders.

At a 2 p.m. press conference Thursday, the governor stressed that Maryland is one of the best in the nation with 82.6% of all eligible citizens vaccinated, but he’d still like to reach everyone else.

He is also stressing the importance of boosters shots for those who are now eligible.

“We’re about maintaining immunity because we’re finding people after four, five, six months it starts to drop off," he said. "And we started vaccinating people nine months ago so it’s not just how many people we get vaccinated the first time it’s how many people can we keep safe for a long period of time until we stamp this thing out.”

Hogan says there is confusion about who is eligible for boosters and says that’s one reason he called a press conference today. ~ *SEE Chart For Eligibility At Link.
