Md. Gov. Hogan Encourages People To Get COVID Booster Shot, Despite Confusion

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is again urging vaccination against COVID for all Marylanders.
At a 2 p.m. press conference Thursday, the governor stressed that Maryland is one of the best in the nation with 82.6% of all eligible citizens vaccinated, but hed still like to reach everyone else.
He is also stressing the importance of boosters shots for those who are now eligible.
Were about maintaining immunity because were finding people after four, five, six months it starts to drop off," he said. "And we started vaccinating people nine months ago so its not just how many people we get vaccinated the first time its how many people can we keep safe for a long period of time until we stamp this thing out.
