Brewery in Frederick, Maryland, has agreed to be acquired by Utica, New York-based FX Matt. Brewing is a low margin industry, and unless you can keep volumes high and cost low, your investors will quickly lose patience. It isn't so much you can't be profitable, it's that investors get impatient.

fx matt is not a mega brewer, but it isn't small scale either. It will cut costs by using existingg capacity and move to change the recipes so they can bulk buy grains nd other materials.

The label will join the ranks of the meh. Capitalism.
