Two teens were killed in a fiery, three-car crash on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County, Maryland, early Friday morning and police are now searching for the driver of a BMW who they said fled the scene.
The two teens have been identified as 17-year-old Luis Isaac Bran, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and 18-year-old Rebeca Gabriela Vasquez Moreno, from El Salvador, according to a news release from Maryland State Police. ... The two teens, who are believed to be cousins, were passengers in a Toyota RAV4, driven by Brans mother, according to state police.
The crash happened Friday shortly before 5 a.m. on I-270 and Falls Road by Exit 6A when the Toyota, which was traveling north on I-270, was struck from behind by the driver of a 2003 silver BMW convertible, which left the scene. The Toyota was then rear-ended a second time by a Ford F-150, which remained on the scene. ... The BMW was later found abandoned on the shoulder about half-a-mile north of the where the crash happened, state police said. Investigators are now working to identify the driver.

Roads were closed for about six hours. Anyone with information on what happened should call Maryland State Police at 301-424-2101.
