The apex is very high at 140’ above the river at high tide. Although it’s a safe bridge to drive on, there are no big barriers on the sides so you get spectacular visibility.

You, elleng, already know how much I love Solomon’s Island!

Loved getting to Solomon’s Island in 15 minutes from Lexington Park.
The winter of 77-78 was very cold and much of the Patuxent River was frozen under the bridge. Enjoyed the years I was stationed at the Navy airbase. I enjoy your photos.

Now live in Lusby; been here 10+ years. Family nearby.

River froze one year since I've been here. I live @ the river, rent old house on my own little peninsula! Visit Solomons often; had 'lunch' in Lexington Park today.

Neighbor's friends fish off pier/jetty beside my house, and of course I pass many Navy guys in travels nearby.

Lived in Hagerstown for about 3 years, so passed through Frederick often.
