The Walsh administration is leaving the door open to seeking an injunction to block construction of the $1.6 billion Wynn Resorts casino in Everett.

The possible game-changing delay comes as the state Gaming Commission filed a testy dismissal motion yesterday that casts Boston’s 152-page lawsuit as scatterbrained.

The city filed the amended lawsuit against all five members of the Gaming Commission last week, saying the license was “the product of a corrupt process to favor Wynn.”

Asked to rule out an injunction, Bonnie McGilpin, spokeswoman for Mayor Martin J. Walsh, said such a decision would be made “through counsel” at City Hall.
