WASHINGTON Bristol County wants in on a White House program that has sent millions of dollars to High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas to combat heroin abuse.
The county, which includes Fall River, New Bedford, Taunton and Attleboro, is seeking White House designation as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. An application was submitted Monday to the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, according to the office of Rep. Joseph Kennedy III.
Kennedy, a Brookline Democrat has been working with Bristol County leaders including Fall River Police Chief Daniel Racine to prepare an application to the White House.
In a letter supporting the application, Kennedy said that a dramatic increase in opioid abuse primarily heroin and prescription drugs has greatly stretched the resources of Bristol County law enforcement and treatment programs. The HIDTA designation would bring additional White House support that would help battle this growing epidemic. The letter was also signed by Rep. William Keating, D-Bourne, and Sens. Edward Markey and Elizabeth Warren.

Finding where the drugs came from is a no-brainer - ask the NSA. They have been listening to and/or recording every telephone call and every computer keystroke made in the USA sine
at least 2002. The NSA knows where this stuff is coming from.
Take a look at the heroin imported to the US during and after our Vietnam adventure:
