BROCKTON – The Planning Board could approve a site plan for a proposed power plant in Brockton when it meets tonight at City Hall, officials said.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the GAR room at City Hall, 45 School St.

A 350-megawatt power plant – opposed by many local residents for nearly a decade – went before a group of Brockton officials, who examined the developer’s preliminary site plan in May.

Officials will take public comment during tonight’s planning board meeting, saying residents will have a chance to weigh in on the proposal.
