Massachusetts golf courses threatened with discrimination lawsuit over Gov. Charlie Bakers order prohibiting use of carts
Golf courses across the state opened Friday morning to a host of angry, frustrated golfers who threatened to take their clubs to Connecticut and sue Massachusetts courses.
When Massachusetts reopened golf courses on Thursday amid the coronavirus pandemic, the order came with a host of restrictions. One included banning the use of golf carts.
The restriction prevents some golfers who arent able to walk the course from participating in the sport.
The first day of operation for Cara Cullen, who owns and manages Kettle Brook Golf Club in Paxton and Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston, began with a person threatening to sue her business.
