A Canton man's plane crashed into trees in Livingston County. He climbed down unscathed




(Detroit Free Press) GREEN OAK TWP. — A 72-year-old Canton man walked away unscathed after crashing his plane Monday.

First, he had to climb down the trees that he left the plane in.

“He’s lucky he landed the way he did,” Green Oak Township Police Sgt. Alicia Montes noted. “A couple feet in either direction and it could have been a different scenario.”

Montes was among the first responders to the small private airfield near Rushton and 8 Mile roads after the plane crashed at about 1 p.m.. ..................(more)

Something light and slow. Any landing you walk, or crawl down from, is a good landing.
