Sheriff: Congressman Kildee's brother shot and killed by son

GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - The brother of Congressman Dan Kildee was identified as the 59-year-old man shot and killed during an overnight crime spree at a residence in the Clio area early Tuesday.

Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said Timothy Kildee was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting shortly after 5 a.m. in the 9000 block of Neff Road in Vienna Township.

Timothy Kildee's son was involved in a serious crash shortly after the shooting and he remained hospitalized at Hurley Medical Center in serious condition Tuesday afternoon.

The son was not identified and he hadn't been charged with any crimes Tuesday afternoon while he recuperates at the hospital under a police guard.
