Friske Defeated in R primary

Michigan 107th State Representative Neil Friske, the Rep who was arrested several months ago at 2:30 a.m. chasing a woman he met at a strip club, lost his primary race to a relative unknown.

CHARLEVOIX COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- State Rep. Neil Friske (R-Charlevoix) lost in Tuesday's primary election, less than two months after he was arrested in Lansing for what police called a "felony-level offense."

As of 12:25 a.m. on Wednesday, with 99% of votes counted, Parker Fairbairn secured 10,689 votes, compared to 6,260 votes for Friske.

I do remember when unknown Michigan governor candidate Rick Snyder won the primary with the help of a lot of Dem crossover votes. People thought he had to be better than the better known Republican candidates. Didn't really work out as we hoped.
