Former President Barack Obama to campaign for VP Kamala Harris in Detroit on Tuesday
(Detroit Free Press) Former President Barack Obama will campaign in Detroit on Tuesday for Vice President Kamala Harris, her presidential campaign announced Wednesday.
It's the latest in a wave of visits to Michigan by presidential candidates and their surrogates as polls show a close contest between Harris and former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, in the key battleground state of Michigan.
Obama's visit to Detroit will coincide with the start of early voting and he will encourage Harris supporters to vote early, the campaign said. Further details were not immediately released. ..................(more)
