St. Clair Shores double-voting defendants win four of five court rulings

Michigan's courts have ruled in favor of four of five defendants accused of casting multiple votes in the August 2024 primary.

A Macomb County Circuit judge on Dec. 19 dismissed the criminal case against double-voter Stacey Kramer.

And in separate rulings last week, the Michigan Court of Appeals declined to hear appeals of dismissed cases against three former St. Clair Shores election workers, but agreed to listen to the appeal of the dismissed case against one accused double-voter.

Circuit Judge James Maceroni says in a 14-page opinion that Kramer, 58, was entrapped by the government when she was allowed to vote at the polls during the August 2024 polls after voting by absentee ballot.
