Reminder to all Michiganders...

I posted this on another thread but wanted to have it here also:

Due to the passage of the statewide ballot proposal 18-3, all eligible and registered voters in Michigan may now request an absentee voter ballot without providing a reason.

Every registered voter can be put on a Permanent Absentee Voter list at their respective clerk's offices. You know longer have to be a senior citizen or have an excuse for why you want to vote absentee.

I have always been a proponent of allowing everyone to vote in the privacy of their home. Some people are too intimidated by the process and lines if they have to vote at a precinct. This was another result of the big blue wave in 2018.

You can take advantage of them two weeks before the election right up to the actual voting day.

I never had a problem with getting to the polling place either, but once I was eligible to vote absentee I loved it. I'm the type of person that if I thought I was taking too much time in the booth and there were lots of people waiting, I would want to hurry it up so they could have their turn. This way I can sit at my dining room table when I'm rested and relaxed.

I think there are a lot of people who have busy lives with full time jobs, kids, dinner to make, etc. that will appreciate this once they try it.
