Related: About this forumHere's what was reopened in Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's revised stay-at-home order
Heres a look at the businesses that are now allowed to open:
Landscapers
Lawn care companies
Plant nurseries
Bike repair shops
Stores selling nonessential supplies (curbside pickup and delivery)
Garden centers and paint/flooring/carpet areas at big-box retailers
These companies are allowed to reopen as long as they follow social distancing guidelines to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), officials said.
Whitmer has also lifted restrictions on outdoor activities such as golf and motorized boating. Golfers will not be allowed to ride in carts.
Michigan residents with multiple in-state homes can now travel between their homes, though its strongly discouraged, Whitmer said.
...
People are now required, rather than encouraged, to wear face coverings in enclosed public spaces such as grocery stores if they can medically tolerate it. Employers must provide non-medical grade masks to their in-person employees.

(27,299 posts)The tomatoes are doing well but the sweet peppers and some of the herbs aren't.
I will DEFINITELY be stopping by the small, local plant nursery for some Rosemary, as soon as they are up and running. I admit I was worried about this nursery. It's owned by a local family and has been here for 40 years. It is a really great place to shop - for price, product and the friendly, helpful staff. MUCH nicer than corporate nurseries.

i am having a great spring. just a coincidence that this year i really got into not wasting the spring. grew tons of brassicas, etc. had a real successful no contact sale.

(71,831 posts)but to be on the safe side, those are the first thing i plant each year. early. january.
the good thing about them, is that they are tidy little things, and getting an earlier start on them does pay off. the season here is barely long enough.
usually have at least one hail mary do over about this time tho.
