Biden to promote plans for infrastructure, childcare, college and more in Howell
President Joe Biden is scheduled to travel to Howell on Tuesday to make the case for his Build Back Better agenda to address infrastructure, childcare, college, health care, environmental needs and more, the White House said Sunday afternoon.
No other details of the trip were released.
The Biden administration has been intensely negotiating in the last week with congressional leaders, progressive U.S. House members and two U.S. Senate holdouts Krysten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.V.). No deal has been reached yet.
There are two bills, one to address various infrastructure priorities including aid to clean up the Great Lakes and another to deal with human infrastructure needs that the White House says will grow our economy by investing in working families, paid for by repealing tax giveaways to the rich.
Biden last visited Michigan in May to tout electric vehicle development at a Ford plant in Dearborn.
