Minnesotans Can't Trust Kim Crockett
Kim Crockett Wants to Make it Harder For You to Vote
If elected Secretary of State, Kim Crockett plans to cut back early voting and restrict our freedom to register to vote on election day. Voting should be free, fair, and easy. Under Crockett, it would be none of those things.
Crockett wants to throw out ballots that are sent by mail on or before election day, but arrive late. Her agenda would result in votes being thrown out for older Minnesotans, people in rural areas, and Minnesotans serving our state and nation in the military. Crockett also wants to make it harder for Minnesotans who are older or dont speak fluent English to get help casting a ballot from a trusted friend or family member.
Crockett plans to remove voting options for people in Greater Minnesota too. Towns below a certain size can decide to conduct their elections entirely by mail if they want. It can be easier and more convenient for voters and election officials. Kim Crockett wants to stop these communities from deciding for themselves how to vote.
Crocketts agenda would restrict the freedom to vote for older Minnesotans, members of the military, people in Greater Minnesota, and so many more Minnesotans. This is just wrong. Minnesota is proud to lead the nation in voter turnout.
