Helping local governments?

Once upon a time, I've heard, the state government would send fund to local municipalities, perhaps even school districts. (I have lived here only 20 years).

I think that governor PawPaw eliminated this.

Was it ever renewed? With all the surplus that we have?

2. Thank you. With our property taxes keep going up (though not as much as St. Paul)

it would be nice if our state taxes could be set for a good use.

3. I just read that Golden Valley doesn't receive any LGA ... probably likewise in your town

Oh, and that Golden Valley's property tax levy is increasing 11.3% or 11.2%, yes, a one-year increase (not some biennium thing unfortunatly).
