If Dean declares, as he is expected, does this mean that we have no working rep in D.C?

I don’t remember many members of the House running for President. Senators have, as Klobuchar did, but at least there is a second senator.

Will not last long.

I don't think he'll last long enough for that to be necessary. I am really annoyed that he's doing this - he's not my rep (mine is Ilhan Omar, but I have a few axes to grind with her, too), and AFAIK he's done quite a good job in that capacity, but how the hell does he think he'll get enough support to win a primary, even in MN? He's not nationally known, he wouldn't pick up the prog vote at all, and he's just pissing people off. The process for calling a special election depends on when the vacancy occurs relative to the next primary; it's complicated. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/204D.29

so that gives him plenty of time to tilt at this particular windmill. But if the GOP gets its shit together and a Speaker is finally elected, there will be a backlog of stuff to do, and he'd better get on it. I hope he hears from his constituents. If you're one of them, let him have it.

O have written him several times pleasing with him to stop. I am in cd3 and I will not donate to him at all. I will work for whoever will replace him. Possibly Heather Edelson moves up from state to US?

This is just pure stupidity.

I ignored. And I think it was reported that he fell below target.

and efficient staff but, I suppose, for a business owner being part of 435 and in the minority with a useless majority lost the interest.
