Moorhead School Board approves capital projects for November ballot
MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Monday night, the Moorhead School Board voted to place a capital project levy on the November 5th ballot.
The district says the proposed levy will be about $4.3 million annually over ten years, and will be used to upgrade school facilities, improve safety measures, and enhance educational technology.
The district laid out these key areas of focus:
- Curriculum Enhancements: Investing in new innovative programing and staff training to optimize student learning and staff professional development.
- Facility Improvements: Addressing deferred maintenance projects, including roofing, HVAC systems, and security enhancements across 11 district facilities.
- Technology Investments: Replacement of outdated devices, software upgrades, and maintenance of digital systems to support innovative learning.
- Transportation Updates: Replacement of aging buses and vans to maintain a safe and reliable transportation fleet for students.
