U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vermont, ventured out to Minnesota Friday evening to vouch for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate Gov. Tim Walz.
The senator told Minnesotans to get rid of your governor shortly after 7 p.m. at the crowded BlackStack Brewing in St. Paul, as he advocated for Minnesotas governor to make the move to Washington, D.C.
I want you to get rid of your governor, Sanders said. Get him out of Minnesota, (and) send him to Washington.
Sanders and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison pitched the Harris tickets goals of supporting reproductive rights and an inclusive democracy. He said that the economy needs to work in a way to support people of all backgrounds, and not just those with corporate power.

(6,867 posts)I agree that the people of Minnesota should follow Bernie's suggestion and help promote Walz out of the Governor's office and into the VP office.
I'm not sure there has ever been a Native American Governor. It'd be a welcome first.
