To my friends and neighbors in Minnesota

I am so angry and heart sick at the railroading of Senator Franken by his colleagues. Their shameful actions have removed the best and most effective Senator in the Senate.

I believe his downfall was orchestrated by the Republicans. And woe to the next legislator on their hit list.

They jettisoned one of our best voices over anonymous claims. I don't know if it will hurt the dems in 2018 or not, but for me, my enthusiasm for the Democratic Party has been wanning for many, many years, & now I have even less of it. The 'high road' mantra only works when you're standing. When they have their boot on your neck, they're just meaningless words.
