Yes, I am biased. About County Commissioner, 7 District

Before the primaries I wondered who was the least objectionable, seeing that this seat is now occupied by Jeff Johnson, the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

They were
Kevin Anderson https://votekevinanderson.com/

Danny Nadeau https://dannynadeau.com/

Kim Zellers. http://www.kimzellers.com (but the page is blank)

(As an aside, I wonder whether Kim Zellers is related to Kurt Zellers who, for me, is the poster boy of the ones who come to Minnesota from neighboring states, attracted by the qualify of life supported by our taxes, and once here, want to abolish the taxes..)

Anywho, so I read what they were saying about themselves and Anderson says: volunteering on the ELCA stewardship council. What is ELCA, I wondered. Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The word "Evangelical" is enough for me to not support him. The Evangelicals, with their "family values" have no problem supporting Trump.

And then, before the primaries, I received one of those cards that combine the names of several candidates. it listed CD-3 Dean Phillips (DFL Endorsed), SD-44 Ann Johnson Stewart (DFL Endorsed) and Kevin Anderson for County Commissioner. Also, I saw yard signs for all three on a yard.

So I am curious.

is the mainstream branch of Lutheranism - I think of it as "normal" Lutherans (as opposed to Wisconsin or Missouri synods). It is the result of a merger of the American Lutheran Church, the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches and the Lutheran Church in America quite a while ago.

And why I know this, I don't know, I'm supposed to be Catholic.
