Need a marriage license? Here's what counties are compliant as of 06/26/2015

Great link-check it out.

Oh, and if you're in Johnson Co it's a go. Our Recorder of Deeds is also the President of the state recorders association and she made the announcement about the time frame. (It's 25 days total for compliance and most of that is for training/paperwork.) Johnson is issuing and they already did issue one yesterday afternoon. The main reason for the wait was to quickly change over the system so it no longer specifies only a bride and groom. (The first marriage in Boone county yesterday still specified one bride and one groom. This has been corrected.)

Also, if you're in Johnson and needing a license let us know! We haven't had any problems yet but most of the rednecks don't realize that one has been issued. There are people already volunteering on Facebook to accompany the happy couples in and out of the courthouse to be sure that everything goes smoothly without anyone acting stupid.
