Senator Hawley claims Circuit Attorney Gardner is targeting McCloskey family, calls for civil rights

investigation.

With profound and vast disappointment, this ignorant senator of mine (in Missouri) is again ranting and raving about this supposed incident in STLMO city, about this gun touting criminals manhandling their guns and threatening peaceful protesters as they were simply walking the sidewalks (public is allowed on the sidewalks) towards their destination.

Ironically, had the two idiots (the mccloskeys) stayed either in their home or in the backyard, not a damn thing would have happened. They solely caused the incident (to drum up business for their law practice?). Many of the protesters have said that nothing happened that warranted such a threat by the mccloskeys). Note, it is very possible that some of these protesters could have been neighbors of mine simply protesting peacefully as the vast majority of protesters were. This is disgusting that these two neighbors (the mccloskeys) pulled out their guns so quickly and threatened others on the sidewalk (not in their yard, not in their house, but on a public sidewalk).

josh hawley is a disgusting political hack w/ a huge overbite problem. I'm surprised that when he talks, he can breath. kind of like rump when he mouth breaths too.

And he supposedly has a law degree. As an officer of the court he should know better, than to be such a partisan hack, and let the rule of law work. Especially when the McCloskeys threatened protesters for no good reason. I think that the McCloskeys planned it all, deliberately and caused the confrontation solely for publicity. I'm surprised that no videos have popped up, that would clear the good name of the protesters (and thus putting more of the burden of proof on the McCloskeys to prove that they had a right to brandy guns and point them at protesters.

30 of their neighbors agree that they way overreacted, and I agree, being a resident of the city of STLMO. I thought when I heard that they did this (pointing guns at protesters for no good cause), are they crazy?

I figured that he would be a sniveling POS when rump came and campaigned for hawley 3 times during his campaign against Claire M., and he is. A partisan hack after rump's ignorant and racist heart.

when I was in High School. Just across from the Chase. I was never in the gated communities but dealt with some of the folks that lived there from time to time. Thankfully that was eons ago and the McCloskeys were not part of the group back then.

Hawley would have to improve by several magnitudes to reach the level of useless in my opinion.

and as usual, when you're in the city, you trade stories about the rehabbing of one's home etc., stories about the neighborhood, etc.

Nothing at all like these two that were pointing guns at people. If anything, this is a stupid and dangerous way to handle a bunch of people walking by on the sidewalks (point guns at them). They should have been arrested already, and charged w/ threatening bystanders w/ harm. I do feel this seriously, being that this happened on a damn sidewalk, that's open to all. What if I was walking w/ kids or something? What if someone had a party on their street? This does happen, as I've been to several parties over in that neighborhood.

Their actions are at the height of ignorance and very poor judgment, and I seriously hope that the city's attorney general charges these two idiots w/ at least some kind of reckless behavior charges or something, which is exactly what they did. The city has enough gun crimes as it does (as a lot of big cities do), and they need to clamp down on these self proclaimed vigilantes ... why didn't they call the police? Never in my 40+ years in STLMO have I heard of someone doing this unilaterally, it's actually very stupid and invites all kinds of undesired crap to happen.
