ST. LOUIS — A Missouri woman whose car was allegedly stolen is accused of tracking down the suspected thief on Wednesday, killing two men and wounding another, authorities said.

Demesha Coleman, 35, of Spanish Lake, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree assault, according to St. Louis County online court records.

She was charged on Thursday in the deaths of Darius Jackson, 19, and Joseph Farrar, 49, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The two men were fatally shot outside a Speedie Gas station in St. Louis, according to the newspaper.

The two men were pronounced dead at the scene, KSDK-TV reported. Another male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his head, according to the television station.

5. Kyle Rittenhouse is a murderer.

This is different. Cops do little or nothing about car theft and when caught, the thieves get little punishment. My sympathies are with that woman, and I hope her judge and jury give her a fitting sentence. I'd actually be OK with no prosecution, based on what is known at this time.

6. I'm not OK with vigilantism. I am OK with the process of law. What if she had shot the cops ...

... who don't do much about car theft? Wouldn't they be complicit in the criminals getting away? There is no death penalty for car theft and our rule of law says there is a presumption of innocence - something I would want, especially if I were innocent.

What will you do or think when you see me and some friends rushing you with a rope because I just know you stole my Yugo?

Do you really support lynch mobs?????

What she did was premeditated murder. No justice anywhere in it.

Wasn't Rittenhouse reacting to what he perceived as unanswered breaking of laws? They are both murderers.

You're not wrong, but I've had too many experiences with thieves and other lawbreakers getting away with it to not have understanding for that woman as the story was told here.

And the difference between her and Rittenhouse that he lied about his motive. He went hunting. That lie was just the excuse that let his million-dollar lawyers get him off the hook.

9. Rittenhouse was an idiot for going there but he didn't hunt down his victims while she did

That's the difference for why she'll likely have to live the rest of her life in prison. It wasn't worth it.

but the article uses the term 'shoot out.' Are we to infer that the other parties were armed and returning fire? Or is this just your typical crappy reporting?

In any case - this is 100% on her - and there's no excuse for this type of vigilantism.

I'm of two minds about this. Why did she have to kill them? Is a Hyundai worth two lives? Report says her and her companion opened both front car doors and started shooting...
Sad to say they are gonna throw the book at her.

I dont advocate use of force by taking, but what if she took back her car and they tried to take it back again? That would be stand your ground and the ground could be in her car seat. I and most of you dont know the complete case. If I was her, I would of contacted the authorities.... knowing the police would probably destroyed her car if the suspects fled away to apprehend the suspects. But! Again, we dont know the story. Maybe she just shot them to repossess her car... maybe she snuck into the car and they tried to carjack her again.

Basically what I am saying. Dont convict her before we hear the complete story.
