#BREAKING | St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is resigning from office. This comes after a quo warranto case filed by the attorney general to have her ousted and legislation is moving forward in Jeff City to allow the governor to appoint a special prosecutor. #moleg

(this one here) said they suspect her of taking the classes during the day "when she should be devoting all her time and energy" to her position. I would not be one to judge her too harshly, considering she is studying for a new career and not out dealing meth. However, one is employed under certain terms and conditions and contractual obligations are a duty, unless you are required to do things that are dangerous, onerous, not in your job description, illegal. In this case, illegality as "theft" is the issue. I hope Kim Gardner can show that all her courses were in the evening and did not interfere with her work. As if we don't need more nurses...

- Upon taking office he announced he wasn't going to enforce laws against illegal gambling
- Just a week ago, he had to drop out of a gambling case involving the highway patrol after taking donations from gambling companies suing state
- His recent attempt to shut down trans kid healthcare by declaring a statewide "emergency"...as AG, not governor.
- Immediately after being appointed AG in January, he pressured the entire state CPS board to retire because they wouldn't go after trans families

He's only been at his job for five months and is already doing so much outside of his official duties, his firing of Kim Gardner looks like a mix between a smokescreen...and mob enforcement.
