Missouri has 500,000 inactive voters. How can they cast ballots in the 2024 election?

Voters tend to come out for presidential elections more than local or midterm elections, which might make casting a ballot more challenging in 2024.

In 2020, the Kansas City Election Board reported a 60% voter turnout rate, which decreased to just below 40% in the 2022 midterm elections and under 20% in the August 2024 primary elections.

The 2024 presidential election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 5, with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump on the ballot. In addition, Missourians will choose state officials and decide whether to legalize abortion, raise the minimum wage and allow sports betting.

If you don‘t vote in every election, you might be absent from the voter rolls, even if you haven’t moved to a new address.

It took more than one missed election to become inactive or dropped.

If you don't vote regularly though it is always good to check your status.
