Two Initiatives Certified for Montana Ballot in November

HELENA – The Montana Secretary of State’s Office has certified two citizen initiatives for the Nov. 6 election.

Secretary Corey Stapleton wrote on Twitter that initiatives to raise the tobacco tax and set stricter cleanup standards for new hard-rock mines have qualified for the ballot.

Director of Elections and Voter Services Dana Corson confirmed Thursday that the measures will appear on the ballot.

along with the Senate and House seats that are in play this time around. The idiots have been here three times in the last four weeks, Jr, pence and the cheato himself have all been here stumping for the crooked state auditor who is running against Tester. The rallies have sounded like Nazi rallies, the NPR station's political reporter is a thug but she likes Tester, go figure.

The legislature tried to call a third or fourth special session to write opposing initiatives to the mining initiative because they want the newly propsed mining expansions near Yellowstone NP and the A-B Wilderness tyo go forth without concern for the sparse water we residents depend on. And we have the Sec of Int., Zinke, from here offering placating lip service to us while quietly making deals in smoke-filled rooms.

We have a lot to fight for out here, much of what's left of the wild lands in public trust are in this region and are being seriously threatened with destruction by hard rock, timber and fossil fuel extraction. And then there's the livestock industry which is another can of worms threatening the biosphere.
