Her candidacy may be historic, but for Juneau, political life runs in the family. Her mother, who currently serves as a member of Montanas Senate, was passionate about educating voters and was vocal about civic life.
She still carries around voter registration cards in her purse and pulls them out at inappropriate times, Juneau said at an event at the University of Montana. That was the household I grew up in it was important to be civically engaged.

Eleanor Roosevelt taught my mother to knit while flying on Dc-3s on which my mom was a 'stewardess.' !! How's that for cool. :> ))

(522 posts)And this country needs in Congress. She has a stellar reputation in State government. She has been the director of our Office of Public Instruction for 8 years and has improved graduation rates even as our schools received less state funding. She is soft spoken but understands how to get the important things done.
Our current Rep. Ryan Zinke has turned his home in Whitefish, MT into a B&B with no functional website and probably no guests. His current address is probably Santa Barbara,CA. I can't post a link from my phone, but you can find current articles on the Intelligent Discontent blog.
The DNC needs to support Denise any and all ways that it can. We need more democrats in the House and we need more women in the House.
