George Carlin was right. Child worship in the country is out of control. Parents have turned their children into little cult objects. It explains the insane entitlement of youth we now see rampant in this nation.

It was already a thing in the 1980s, if not before.

I don't really see a problem with it, personally. If it provides the kids with some motivation about kindergarten and beyond, I'm all for it.

Let's see if we can imagine this one. Carlin (In my imagination). "Gender reveal parties. Gender reveal parties. That's the newest excuse for gifts from the self-absorbed ME Generation. Would anyone love the kid more or less if the kid turned out to warrant the opposite of the blue or pink smoke? And when the kid turns out to decide to trans, do you return the gifts? Do ya buy different color smoke and blow that up our asses when the kid turns teen and announces that the blue smoke, should'a been pink?

But here's the thing, Buttercup. Nobody gives a shit about the gender of your fetus, except you and the kid's grandparents.... and I'm not too sure they wanna give up a sunny day at the country club for your ego trip.
