question for our good Nebraska DU'ers about Sasse

Sasse said the other day he thinks about leaving the Republican Party. To me, he would either become an independent or a conservative Democrat.

Could he get re-elected if he became a Democrat or independent in NE ? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Most students at schools like Harvard are liberals because they’re smart and understand how the world works.

The very few hard right conservatives- like Sasse and Cotton - get picked up and promoted by rightwing billionaire organizations.

Sasse would most likely be a nobody if he were a liberal.

But I do think if he were to run next time as Independent for his own seat he would win.

Not as a D though - he doesn’t agree with us on anything policy wise.

As has been stated though I’ve had him pegged as a guy who sees himself as a future President. He wants people on both sides to think he’s reasonable but he’s not. He’s an ultra conservative guy.

When he ran for the first time in 2014 his number one platform and position was that he said he was the most anti Obamacare candidate. That’s the kind of asshole he is at heart.
