Nebraska corn growers issue rare rebuke of Trump

President Donald Trump received a rare rebuke from Nebraska agriculture on Thursday that questioned whether the Republican president is really "on our side."

The Nebraska Corn Board and the Nebraska Corn Growers Association issued a joint statement criticizing the Trump administration for continuing to issue oil refinery waivers that thwart ethanol production and for a trade policy that they said has damaged agriculture.

"Many of our corn farmers have stood with Trump for a long time, but that may soon change," Dan Nerud, a Dorchester farmer and president of the 2,400-member Nebraska Corn Growers Association, said in a release.

All we're getting is lip service," David Bruntz, a Friend farmer and chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board, said.

Oh, Mr Nerud, you comedian you. We all know that you and the corn farmers will stand by ill presidente until the last farm goes bankrupt and you'll still back him even after that.
You'll blame Obama, Biden, Sanders, Warren, Harris, Pelosi, the Pillsbury Doughboy, any Democrat, before blaming the orange menace
You fool no one.

U.S. Farmers on China Tariffs: 'This Isn't Just a Chess Match'

The trade war with China is putting a strain on the U.S. agriculture industry. WSJ's Jason Bellini sat down with a group of farmers from the corn, beef, soybean, and dairy industries to hear how tariffs are affecting their businesses.

There is not a single one of them who saw just what he is, a con man out for himself? Well, standing with him got them - what exactly? They will vote republican until their dying day. Some people are slow learners. This makes it unfortunate for the rest of us, who saw him for what he is right from day one. Sorry, I have no sympathy for them. You "reap what you sow" has never been more fitting than in this case.

You keep voting for republicans and you get what you vote for. It’s hard for me to find any sympathy here.

Trump supporters are only happy when he is “hurting the people he’s supposed to hurt”. They seem surprised when the snake turns on them.

He is going to leave that part of the ballot blank. I did not ask but smiled and said I told you so. I chose this as a small victory and spared my usual Republican rant by obviously changing the subject.

Now, all they are getting is lip service.

So, what do they expect to get after that?
