Station Casinos to make 'significant' staff cuts, delay opening 4 properties

Station Casinos is laying off a “significant” number of employees and will delay reopening four valley properties after the coronavirus shutdown is lifted, according to a letter to employees.

There will also be layoffs at the company’s corporate headquarters, according to the letter from from CEO Frank Fertitta dated today.

Properties not scheduled to initially reopen are the Palms, Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station. The company did not explain why those resorts were selected to remain closed.

A company spokesman would not say how many employees will be affected. Station employs about 14,000 people at its casinos in the Las Vegas area.
