SPOTLIGHT RACE: Catherine Rombeau for NH-HD-Hillsborough 2
I believe deeply in community commitment. As a current State Representative in Concord, I serve on the Transportation Committee as well as a voting member of the General Session. Closer to home, as a former Bedford Town Councilor, I helped direct strategy and funding for our core municipal services. I have also served on the Bedford Energy Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Water & Sewer Advisory Committee, the Conservation Commission and the Historic District Commission. I currently serve as an Alternate Trustee for the Bedford Public Library. I was elected to the State House in a special election in October 2021 and was re-elected to a full term in November 2022.
I have been an attorney for 20 years, primarily practicing management-side labor and employment law. I earned my law degree from New York University School of Law, and my undergraduate degree from Amherst College.
My husband Charlie is a prosecutor in Concord, and we have two daughters in Bedford schools. I appreciate every day the family opportunities and connections that weve built here.
I grew up in Connecticut, where my dad was in law enforcement and my mom was a customer service representative. My hometown reminds me very much of Bedford in many ways. I am grateful we are able to raise our girls in the same kind of engaged, active and supportive community.
I have met amazing people in this townparents, teachers, professionals, folks who raised their children here and stayed, others who embraced Bedford after raising their families. Each of you deserves to be heard, especially following an extremely challenging couple of years. I am ready to listen to your hopes and fears about what comes next, whether its over email, phone or coffee. I look forward to many more years of paying your commitment forward, and to serving as your state representative from Bedford.
