Absentee voters in New Hampshire encouraged to cast ballots soon to avoid mail delivery delays

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Across the country, election officials have expressed worry about the U.S. Postal Service and its ability to securely process ballots in a timely manner.

New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan said those voting absentee should put their ballot in the mail by Monday, Oct. 28, to avoid any potential delivery delays.

"There's a concern. It's a national concern, but it also applies to New Hampshire, that the delivery of mail is not as fast as it used to be," Scanlan said.
