NH Destroying Public Education - HB 283

HB 283 is up for discussion this Monday 2/10. This proposal seeks to re-write New Hampshire’s definition of an adequate education and seeks to remove the following subject areas from public schools:
All arts education, including visual, music and performing arts.
World Language
Engineering and Technology
Personal Finance
Computer Science

It also redefines Social Studies and eliminates the following requirements; civics, government economics, geography, history, holocaust and genocide education. It would now just be defined as “Social Studies”. Schools would no longer have to budget for or be required to provide these services.

If there are NH residents who can help spread the word and oppose this proposal, please do ASAP.
