Gov. Maggie Hassan uninjured in Nashua car crash

NASHUA - Gov. Maggie Hassan was not injured when the state vehicle she was riding in collided with another vehicle Thursday afternoon in the Gate City.

According to local police, the accident occurred at the intersection of High and School streets near the High Street municipal parking garage.

A New Hampshire state police trooper, whom police did not identify, was driving Hassan in an unmarked Chevrolet Tahoe and traveling west on High Street at the time of the accident.

According to police, a Volvo 40 operated by Marc Thayer, 45, was traveling north on School Street when he approached a stop sign but failed to stop.
