Keene State College president to step down, return to classroom

The president of Keene State College is stepping down.

Anne E. Huot announced today she will leave the position, effective July 31, citing personal and professional reasons, according to a news release from the University System of New Hampshire.

“After much deliberation, I have decided it is time for me to step down as President of Keene State College,” Huot said in the release. “It has been a privilege to serve this great college."

She added she had been considering stepping down as president for some time, but wanted to wait until end of the academic and fiscal years. She plans to go back to teaching as a biology professor at the college after a year of unpaid leave to prepare for her return to the classroom.
