Nursing home closure to lay off 323 employees, report says

MOUNT LAUREL -- A Mount Laurel nursing home that's been listed as "troubled" will be closing its doors, leaving more than 300 without jobs, according to Philly.com.

After 19 months on the list of the nation's most troubled facilities, the Mount Laurel Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare has lost its Medicare and Medicaid certifications, Philly.com reported.

A spokesperson told Philly.com that as of June 16, the nursing home would no longer be part of the Centers Health Care. Additionally, all patient transfers are slated to be complete by July 16.

Philly.com also reported that 323 will be put out of work due to the closure.
