Christie in 2024? Nah, he's not running for anything ever again. But you never know ...
KEANSBURG -- Gov. Chris Christie doubled down Monday: No, he doesn't expect to run for office again. Any office. And that includes president.
But he is likely to continue his work battling America's opioid abuse crisis once he's left the governor's office, Christie revealed.
The comments came Monday morning after GQ magazine ran an interview in which the New Jersey governor said: "I don't see myself running for office again, because I've had the one job that I really wanted, that's governor, and I ran for the other job that I really wanted, which was president."
But at 55, Christie -- who fell short of the Republican nomination for president last year -- is certainly young enough to run again in seven years, assuming his friend, President Donald Trump, vies for re-election in 2020. What about "Christie in 2024"?
