Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino pleads guilty to tax fraud

Gym, tan, prison?

One-time “Jersey Shore” reality star Michael (The Situation) Sorrentino and his brother pleaded guilty to tax charges Friday in Newark Federal Court.

The pair were slated to face trial next month on accusations related to nearly $9 million in money generated by the Situation’s starring role on the classic MTV show.

But they reversed course this week in a letter to U.S. District Court Judge Susan Wigenton, indicating they wanted to change their pleas.

Sorrentino, 38, faces up to five years in prison on his plea to one count of tax evasion. His kid brother Marc, 36, faces up to three years in prison for aiding in the preparation of a bogus tax return.
